What is Chameleon Film?
Chameleon film is a multi-layered window film that reflects different wavelengths of light depending on the viewing angle. The result is a windscreen tint that shifts colour as you walk around the car — a subtle, head-turning finish that's completely different from a standard black tint.
Chameleon Windscreen Tint — What We Offer
Chameleon film at Saturn Styling is a windscreen-only service. We do not offer chameleon vinyl wraps, roof panels, accent panels or side-window applications — the film we stock is engineered specifically for automotive windscreen glass.
- Colours available: blue, green and red — each with its own shift range depending on angle and light.
- 82% VLT — bright enough to be road-legal on your windscreen under Irish RSA regulations.
- 1-year Saturn Styling warranty against bubbling, peeling and premature fade.
- Fitted in the shop — every piece is cut to the exact curvature of your windscreen glass.
Things to Know
- Colour shift is best in warm ambient light and sunlight — the film reads more subtle indoors, more dramatic outdoors.
- Chameleon film is thicker than standard window film. Install takes a little longer, but the finish holds its shift for years.
- Chameleon is a windscreen product only at Saturn Styling — for a colour-shift finish on your bodywork, that's a different film family, and it's not something we currently offer as a wrap.
Aftercare
Because chameleon film is fitted to the inside of the windscreen, exterior car washing doesn't affect it. Essentials:
- Any haze or moisture pockets clear within 1–2 weeks as the film cures.
- Clean the inside of the windscreen with an ammonia-free glass cleaner only — ammonia degrades the colour-shift layers.
- Use a soft microfibre cloth. No abrasive polishes or paper towels.
